The first few classes as a white belt can be quite daunting, lots of confusing new moves and techniques, not to mention all the Japanese terminology. Remember though, everyone else in the class was in the same position when they started and, with practice you will pick up the basics quite quickly.<\/p>\n
There are three main things you will be taught:<\/p>\n
Kihon<\/strong><\/p>\n Kihon represents the basics or fundamentals. As a white belt you will learn:<\/p>\n White Belt Kihon Video<\/a><\/p>\n Kumite<\/strong><\/p>\n Kumite is where you spar with a partner, you will be taught:<\/p>\n Gohon Kumite Video<\/a><\/p>\n Kata<\/strong><\/p>\n Kata is a set of fixed moves. With each belt you will learn a new kata.
