The next grading is booked for Saturday 28th of March 2026 with Sensei Jimmy Brennan. This will be at the Westminster Park Community Centre. Start time is 1pm. Training is for all kyu grades below brown belt. The grading will start at 2pm.

The grading will be a small one, I am assessing exactly who is ready and will let you know before the day. I will be having another grading sometime in May, plus there is an opportunity to grade at Handbridge on Monday the 20th of April with Sensei Frank Brennan.

After the grading class around 3pm there will be a class for brown and black belts. Please make every effort to attend this class so sensei can see you training.

I will probably cancel the 10am morning class as I want as many members training with Sensei as possible.

Grading will cost £20 plus there is a training fee (those paying monthly are covered). Please bring your licence books with your grading  fee and pass them on to me either in class on Saturday or before the grading.

Please note, parents need to wait outside while the grading takes place.

The minimum time between gradings is 3 months. For you first grading you can grade after 2 months. Ideally you should be training at least twice a week.
